From 2007-2009, Starfish One by One had minimal administrative costs. The organization’s growth and management was overseen by the dedicated Board of Directors and highly-skilled volunteers. In 2010, the growth of the program necessitated a full-time Director and a US office to ensure quality services in Guatemala while increasing communication and fundraising efforts in the US. Starfish One by One is fortunate to have the generous support of a donor who covers the entirety of the Executive Director’s salary. Similarly, the Evergreen Animal Hospital lends its generous support by donating Starfish One by One’s office space. As a result, the administrative costs in the US are kept to a minimum to ensure that the Guatemala program receives the important support it needs.
